Family Day for Individual Augmentee (IA)/Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) Families

FFR BowlingThe IA and EFMP Families had a fun filled afternoon at the Bremerton Resource and Recreation Center on April 4th, 2013.  The event was open from 1:30-3:30pm for the families to participate in bowling, video games, pool, air hockey, ping pong, and the use the movie room for their personal choice of a movie to watch. Additionally giant Jenga and checkers were available for their use.

Seven adults and 10 children attended this event.  The excitement filled the bowling alley when the kids threw the balls and knocked down pins.  This was the first time many of these children experienced the joy of bowling, their faces were worth a thousand words.   Fleet &Family Support Center staff informed the families that more events are being planned for summer break.

April is designated Month of the Military Child, to honor the Military Child the Recreation Center is offering great prices for military families.  Children can bowl for 50 cents and shoe rental is also only 50 cents. This is a wonderful affordable event for any family.
