The general public is invited to attend a Memorial Day Service and Wreath Laying Ceremony, Monday, May 25 at 10 AM on the fantail of the historic ship, USS Turner Joy, on the waterfront in Bremerton. Commander Jason M Geddes Commanding Officer USS Nebraska SSBN 739, will be the Keynote Speaker. The ceremony is sponsored by the US Navy League, Bremerton-Olympic Peninsula Council and Navy League President Tim Katona, serves as Master of Ceremonies. The Northwest Navy Band and the Marine Corps Security Force Battalion Bangor will support the Ceremony. Come early, as seating is limited. The USS Turner Joy is located near the Bremerton ferry terminal at the north end of the marina. Parking is available at the Convention Center nearby. Coffee and donuts will be provided in the ship’s crew’s mess after the ceremony.
