Feb Luncheon Speaker Captain Jeffrey McIrvin Commanding Officer NOSC Kitsap

February 9  Luncheon Speaker: Captain Jeffrey McIrvin, Commanding Officer Naval Operational Support Center Kitsap.
Capt Jeff McIrvin NOSC KitsapNavy Operational Support Center (NOSC) Kitsap’s mission is to provide leadership, training, facilities and administrative support to 50 Reserve units composed of more than 850 selected Navy Reserve personnel in preparation for mobilization and peacetime contributory support.

Captain McIrvin, a native of Ellensburg, Washington and graduate of the University of Washington, was commissioned via NROTC in 1990 and was designated a Naval Flight Officer in 1992.

CAPT McIrvin’s operational command tour was also with VAQ-209 Star Warriors from 2009 to 2011. During these assignments he made eight carrier and expeditionary deployments to various peacetime and combat theaters around the world supporting numerous operations including Southern Watch, Northern Watch, Deny Flight, Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.

CAPT McIrvin has accumulated over 3700 flight hours in the EA-6B and over 500 carrier arrested landings. His personal awards include the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal (3), Strike/Flight Air Medal (10),

A driver’s license from Washington, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri and New Mexico can no longer be used as the sole means of identification to gain access to Navy Region Northwest installations.
Guests who are escorted by authorized sponsors may still use these states, including Washington State driver licenses.
