Bremerton Mayor Patty Lent was honored at the January  14, 2017 Bremerton Navy League Installation Dinner. She was presented the Navy League Scroll of Honor for her support of the Navy and the Navy League.

Mayor Patty Lent, Bremerton’s greatest cheerleader! She is a Life member of the Navy League. Patty fully supports the Navy and its Sailors; religiously attending our activities and events. Mayor Lent is the only mayor that has her own submarine. She strongly supported our adoption of the USS Bremerton and insisted on joint custody. She has traveled to Hawaii to present awards. Mayor Lent is a Co-Chair of the USS Washington Commissioning committee and has attended all events at her own expense. She personally hosts the Welcome Reception to our Annual Armed Forces Gala, judges the Annual Military Culinary Arts Competition and supports our efforts at the Washington State Science and Engineering Fair.

The Scroll of Honor is the second highest award of the Navy League on the national level, and the highest award on the region, area, and council levels.  It may be awarded to government employees, uniformed or civilian, who have contributed in an outstanding manner to the furtherance of Navy League programs; and/or individuals (including Navy League members), companies, or corporations that have made similar contributions.
