May 29: USS Turner Joy Memorial Day Ceremony @ 10 AM

The general public is invited to attend a Memorial Day Service and Wreath Laying Ceremony, Monday, May 29 at 10 AM on the fantail of the historic ship, USS Turner Joy (DD-951), on the waterfront in Bremerton. Bremerton-Olympic Peninsula Council Navy League President Alan Beam, serves as Master of Ceremonies. The Guest Speaker will be Captain Douglas Munz, Commanding Officer of the Navy Operational Support Center (NOSC) Kitsap. Captain Munz is a Navy Seal and has had multiple Middle East Deployments.

Come early, as seating is limited. The USS Turner Joy (DD-951) is located near the Bremerton ferry terminal at the north end of the marina. Parking is available at the Convention Center nearby. Coffee and donuts will be provided in the ship’s crew’s mess after the ceremony.
