Presidents Corner April 2019

How quickly the weather changes.  We’ve gone from record snow fall in February to record high temps in March.  Spring is here and it feels great to get outside, work around the house or better yet get to the golf course.  One of our new Community Affiliates is the Kitsap Golf and Country Club.  If you are looking for a golf course and/or country club to join check them out. Another new Community Affiliate is McClouds restaurant in East Bremerton.  They offer a unique atmosphere and are always doing “something” at the restaurant.  Andy Graham is the proprietor and is a great supporter of our country’s military!

We had a great presentation on how the Navy uses dolphins and seals to protect not only the navy, but our country in general.  Mary Ryan, curator at the Naval Undersea museum at Keyport was the presenter.  Our April speaker will be Capt Paradise, Commanding Officer of the USS Carl Vinson (CVN70).  Please remember to sign up for the Navy League Armed Forces Gala on May 18 at the Admiral Theater.  Adm Caldwell will be our guest speaker.  Tickets are now on sale at the Admiral Theater or online.
